About Jakar village lodge
Jakar village lodge (JVL) was established in 1997, by the managing proprietor Dasho Gasey Lhendup.It is located just below the Jakar dzong , commanding the most majestic view of the Chokor valley of Bumthang . The lodge is just a kilometer away from the from Chamkhar town, and five minutes walk from the Dzong. The lodge is being categorized as a four star lodge by the Tourism Council Of Bhutan. The lodge serves a range of delicious cuisines ranging from local delicacy to continental dishes. Local delicacies include puta and khurba (made from buckwheat). Beverages include local and imported drinks and YES! We are known for good food.
