Tibet Pilgrimage – A dream come true!

It has been more than a decade I dreamt of leading a group in making a pilgrimage tour to Tibet. Much has been done in the backstage of bringing the long awaited plan to life. Numerous emails and communication were exchanged with one of the most experienced (~15 years) tourism travel agencies in Tibet. Itineraries were developed as per the clients’ expectation and that too at a reasonable rate. While all went well, obtaining visa for Tibet was quite a challenge. Nevertheless, with rigorous effort put in by the agency. visa for all the registered clients. Upon arriving in Gongar airport (Lhasa), we were received by drivers, who seemed excited by our presence. As we drove away from the airport, we saw no sign of cloud. It was a lovely sunny day!

Besides sharing all the history and significance of the sites we have visited, the tour guide was humorous, kind, helpful, and hospitable. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed to the brink of his or her satisfaction.
